I am thrilled to just discover that this painting of mine is being used to advertise the Guildford Art Society's current exhibition in Guildford House. It is a soft pastel painting on Ingres paper, 12 x 9 in. called DREAMING OF SUMMER. It appears on P.6 of the April to Sept. 2018 Guildford Borough Heritage Exhibition and Events Programme. What a wonderful surprise! It was mainly painted from my imagination, using a couple of photos for inspiration, one for the background and one for the shadows. Far more flowers were added than on the original photos and the colour of the right hand pot was made lighter and brighter.
