I am an artist, at least I tell myself I am and maybe if I tell myself enough I will believe it. I have been painting now for about three years, I haven't had any formal training but I have studied under many professional artist. The journey is long and hard. I do feel however that I am finally becoming more comfortable in the skin of "an artist". I can introduce myself to someone as an artist without turning red and feeling like a fraud. I don't know when I turned that corner but turn it I did. Maybe it was the day I finally got a" good job" from an artist I admired. Possibly the day I was really satisfied with a painting I had finished.
