Took a number of paintings to the gallery this morning for a solo exhibition starting tomorrow. Got a phone call this afternoon, two of them sold before the labels were even written. I put up the picture that I am donating to Beatrice's auction and a chap was trying to buy that as well. The gallery manager pointed him towards the online auction. Fingers crossed! I've just finished off and framed two more to fill the holes on the wall. But that's me out of artwork now. It's been a good year selling wise. Recession? The people with money still have money and are still willing to spend. Gawd bless 'em. I can afford to buy another couple of pencils now!
