Sunday Drawing Class-3

Simple shapes for practice

SUNDAY DRAWING CLASS-3 Good Morning Welcome to the third tutorial of "Sunday's drawing class”. I expect that all of you have practiced straight lines and curves properly. You have to make it your habit. Today we will talk about some simple shapes which are drawn using the curves and straight lines that I already told you in previous classes. Sufficient practice of these shapes helps us to recognize lines and also it creates a good co-ordination between our eyes, hands and brain. That is much much important. Before going to our today's lesson, let’s talk a little about the theory of drawing. What is drawing? You may think that why I'm asking such an irrelevant and obvious question. But wait, it is necessary enough. Drawing means transforming a three-dimensional world which we see around us into the two-dimensional form of paper. That is the straight answer. But if you think a little more, it’s a way to create a world of illusion. Where nothing is real, but your one drawing can explain a paragraph, an article, a chapter or perhaps a book. You can express a complicated thought through your drawing. You can put your dreams into shape. Actually your experiences and thoughts take a shape when you create a drawing or painting. The drawing/painting is actually a language. It is the oldest language of mankind. If you know it, then nothing is difficult for you to express anything you want. So, it is definitely an ideal medium of expression. Now on to our today's lessons. We are going to talk about four different simple shapes. See the video first very carefully. [https://www.facebook.com/pratimd2/videos/1170698383048733/ ] Practice once or twice. Now try to draw them using your own judgement. Remember the Rules which I told you in pre tutorials. Let's get started. Draw, take pictures, and post in the comment box below. I'm always there to help you. One more thing. Please feel free to ask any questions about this tutorial. Alright then. See you on the next Sunday, with some more simple shapes. Thank you for watching....
