When people tell me that they don't have time for hobbies as their work around the home takes priority, I tell them that when their time comes to "shuffle off this mortal coil" they will not say "goodness I wish I'd cleaned the carpet more often" . They will say "I wish I had used my time for developing my interests". I feel sure we were not put on this earth to clean and scrub. No, my house isn't dirty - well maybe a bit dusty, but hey a little dust never hurt anyone. Both Chas and I have hobbies and I have books everywhere but he just calls our house a "home" and not just a house. So come on folks, if you have retired please realise this is the time for you and your partner to develop your interests. After all many of us have put ourselves last in the effort to bring up our families. The time is now. Please do not waste it. Happy painting folks.
