Old art class Xmas do!

I was invited to my old water colour class's Christmas dinner on Monday and it was good to see all the fellow triers again. This time we had a three hour session involving a live model - my first time. She wore an amazingly coloured dress that I can't begin to describe. We were given the task of sketching three poses and were allowed 20 minutes per pose. Then, after a short break for coffee, minced pies and a piece of Xmas cake, we were given 45 minutes to do a watercolour of the reclining model. I've posted my effort in my gallery as I am not sure how to post one here in my blog. Maybe that's another thing I can take up with the site admin. (I have subsequently discoved the opportunity to post a picture at the end of the blog entry - the picture is of the model with our art teacher, Stella). By the way, I did send an email about the difficulty of finding people in here and one of the problems is that the names people use to sign off a comments on one's gallery or blog does not necessarily match the name of their gallery. Thus doing a search for someone who has made a comment may not find them. For example, I have used two titles in here - Stan Blagden and Stan's trying. I've suggested that the signature used for comments might be used as a link to find people's blogs and gallery. It would also be useful to be able to see the commenter's postings in the forum. This is a matter that will be raised with the Techos in the new year. I still can't understand why the Forums have to be completely separate! Another by the way, following the class we had an excellent dinner at the local pub including Stella's annual quiz.
