This morning saw phase one of operation office refit take place. Out with the old to make way for the new! We are now at that stage where everything looks far worse than it did before we started and you begin to wonder if it was such a good idea in the first place! The offices occupy the top two in a very old building in Tenterden, with narrow staircases, beams and uneven floors. Having decided that we like being here and that we won't be moving to new space elsewhere in the town - the big refit idea was formed! New carpets, fresh decoration, new furniture, new kitchen cupboards and so on and so on. Well all the old was taken (with some difficulty) by two nice men this morning and now we wait for the new to begin. With just 3 weeks til press day for the June magazines, it is a case of working with the chaos to be ready on time. This involves the editor of The Artist working with her computer on the floor today! We will keep you posted as the work progresses!
