A while back I was asking for advice on a painting in my gallery but no one commented. I thought this a little strange because the site is usually very responsive to this sort of thing. Thus I thought I would repeat the request here to see what happens. My gallery is Stan Blagden and the comment was ..... This is my first attempt at an oil painting out of class. I have looked at it and looked at it and know it isn't finished. I realise that I have to add detail to the wall of the cave mouth and maybe tone down the pathway in the forground. I thought of adding bluebells or something to the front greenery but not sure really. It is a combination of Hermet's Cave and Dale Abbey. The scene doesn't exist in reality but both do in their own right. http://www.derbyshireuk.net/daleabbey.html
