This week at art class I attempted to draw three swans. The tutor pointed out that when drawing white objects, it is important to emphasise the background details in order to bring the swans to the foreground. Much of the background is water, of course, so I am trying to draw the details in the ripples on the water. Not easy for a beginner, but hopefully practice will make perfect. I'll post a picture when I've completed the task satisfactorily!
