My first submission!

My first submission!

My first submission!

Well, my tree moulds didn't work out in the end - I couldn't get them off the tree trunk in one piece, and those pieces that did come off weren't enough... So, backup Plan B rolled into action, and I've spent the last two weeks using another smaller mould from tree branches that I had at home, using papier mache as the casting material. On Saturday took it to the gallery for submission, wrapped carefully in bubble wrap and marked 'fragile' - imagine my horror as the lady in the gallery grabbed hold of it - the stuff of nightmares! Does anyone else have these worries when they submit their work? Now all I have to do is wait until August when the exhibition panel decides on which work will be accepted. I have all my fingers crossed (again!), for a) that it's not broken by the time it gets in front of the panel, and b) that they like it!
