I have lived in Cornwall for 37 years and I am self taught with my own style. I am inspired on a daily basis by the beauty of the county. My ancestors come from Cornwall which I recently found out after my husband researched my family tree this connection I feel enables me to paint Cornwall's rugged and beautiful scenery.

We all watched Poldark the new version but the old one was just as good. I remember Robin Ellis racing around the Cornish countryside. The latest version was just as good and showed some of Cornwall at its best. I love the Cornish mines a legacy of what's gone before. I decided to paint Wheal Coates AKA Wheal leisure and used textured paste for the rocks and mine It turned out really well
