i cannot believe it has been 16 months since I last posted. What have I been doing. Plodding away.I started this year deciding I would improve my flower painting. It's not happening. I seem to have been painting dogs instead not realistically but in a loose style. I even managed to sell one at our local art fair in May. I was in Edinburgh in June and did a workshop on coptic book binding so now I can sew my own small sketch books. It was fun and there was cake! I sat out in the garden this week and using my new hand made sketch book did a drawing in pen of a few roof tiles and a down pipe and you know it looks ok. Years ago I bought a pad of Stonehenge paper it was absolutely enormous and I hardly used it, so I used it in my hand made books and is an excellent surface for pen , coloured pencil and grapite so I haven't wasted my money after all. How many sketch books do you have I can't resist them and have a drawer sorry, two drawers full of ones I haven't used fully or even started yet. I am trying lead a simpler life and have sold some of the art supplies I never used on ebay, I have decided too much stuff clutters the creative process and needs looking after. I have been very good and only bought a few supples in Edinburgh. Some empty whole pans, a pencil extender, a bamboo pen, two tubes of Sennelier water colour, 3 bottles of Golden liquid acrylic (gorgeous colours) I'm sure there were a few more bits but only small ones..
