HI I'M BACK

BUSY BUSY BUSY. Spent the last 2 days on the banks of the river Trent with Chas Wood of Patchings, and other art enthusiasts of course, just painting. Monday was a fairly fine day on the whole with just one short shower in the morning but the afternoon was cut a little short by some heavy rain and a thunderstorm. My friend Y &n I were abandoned by all the chickens but we sat in the car to paint on until 3.30pm. whem the session was supposed to end.Today, after a small initial sketch, I painted a small picture of a very rusty old barn roof, the corner of a small bungalow surrounded by trees and bushes, a small boat moored by a rickety old landing stage on the bank on the other side of the river. The sun blazed down on us all day. Thank goodness for my wide brimmed hat to protect my head, silk shirt to protect my arms and my spray bottle for keeping the paper wet. People, passing by, kept looking and saying how nice it was but I’ll be doing a proper painting at home in peace & quiet so as to make a good job of it. Hope you all had a pleasant day however busy. The picture was taken yesterday, Monday. The Arts Week at Lindors went wonderfully well and was enjoyed by all. Off to put up my feet now. Back soon... ...Check the gallery for pic's
