It's been lovely and sunny and my studio is still not finished, so I painted outside on the patio on my art table and on the ground, working on three pieces at the same time. I used big, old canvases with work I no longer like, going over the lot with Pip Seymour acrylics and huge brushes. At first it was not happening, then after a couple of hours, a shed of light (not literal) began to dawn on one of the pieces. It's a struggle to make it happen. I am purely acting on my intuition.
