This is my first blog, so excuse if it's not very good. I recently created an acrylic painting using the direct painting method. This is where you apply paint without any drawing. I used large brushes and placed colours, some mixed, some straight from the tube, directly in large patches to cover the whole board and then continued to add more to refine the picture. I took photos as I went. The photo is of the painting near the beginning when it looked quite abstract.
