Cats and countryside

I have been painting for many years and over time have discovered that my main interests are in landscape and cats. I like to use different mediums depending on the subject matter and so work in alkyds, acrylic, pastel and watercolour (not my most successful medium!) I am lucky to live in the country , with an ever-changing view of fields from my garden. I also have four cats, so am never short of subject matter! Earlier this year I published a book of poems called Cats and Doggerel with some of my cat paintings for illustrations. I have had three paintings accepted for the Society of Feline Artists Exhibition in August/September this year. At the moment I am working on an alkyd of the recently mown field at the back of my house - not going too well at the moment, but I expect we'll get there in the end!

Hi Ian I like the way this is coming along...have you much more to do to it?...you should post in the gallery your pictures are paintings afterall...I like the way you describe how you work the colours...as to rulers havn't a clue sounds difficult...3am being in Western Australia I'm usually just logging off after talking to everyone on here...it gets busy when it's my bedtime

North sea black?...years of coal waste being dumped...exposed coal seams...fossilized wood etc. While not having a clue as to the technology you are using it sounds like fun...I like how it is coming along...tempted to have the oil-rig to the right...it looks sort of left-handed as you have got it..Wow Sylvia @ 03.00hrs...even Mel. is asleep then...
