Art Sculpture Trail in Kings Wood, Challock

On Monday, a friend and I took the dogs for a walk in Kings Wood, Challock, and stumbled upon part of the Stour Valley Arts sculpture trail. There are some fascinating pieces there, including a 7 metre tall steel horn, in the style of an old fashioned gramophone, which amplifies the sound of rain falling into a pit which apparently has various steel discs buried within, capturing the sound of falling water. As it was a beautiful day we didn't actually hear anything! But it sits beautifully among the trees even without the sound effects. Also we saw Super Kingdom - fantastical animal houses built into the trees, modeled on the palaces of Stalin, Ceauscescu and Mussolini. An image of one of these structures is attached. Not sure which if any animals have taken up residence though!
