a new shop

We set up the derelict premises in record time. I.e cleaning windows and scrubbing the floor. The pictures have been hung and we have sold 4 paintings to date. The old shop is terribly damp and very cold after the winter with no heating, but we are grateful for the opportunity to exhibit fully free for six weeks at least. a major problem is that there is no loo! The local library is not too far away as long as one is not desperate! A member of the group has organised a camping loo but only to be used in emergency. The young new owners of the shop ( ie the new prmises to be erected) came by with their 4th child wanting to know who of us specialised in portraits? A local artist had done paintings of their first three but is too old now to do the fourth. None of us feels really competent but we will give it a go. I was glad to see in LP this month a demo of child portraiture. I sold my "Cold Coast" on Easter Saturday and am taking "Tidal Flats" in to replace it tomorrow. (Both paintings can be seen in my portfolio "second exhibition") Hope everybody had a good easter and didnt overindulge with the easter eggs. i brought back about a dozen Cadburys Creme eggs from uk but by easter there were only three left! Another of my weaknesses1
