My wonderful wife found a painting on Pinterest and said, " you can do one like this for our wall". What she found was a large canvas abstract in greys and green similar to our lounge décor but she wanted some dark red in there too. I couldn't say no so my daughter (11) and I mixed some colours from my acrylics collection but couldn't get it right so I tried oils instead and got my wife's approval. Many practice pieces later I came up with Heartbeat 1 and Heartbeat 2 (see image). She liked No2 so I stopped. I still have a 16x20" canvas prepared so I may try a 3rd attempt later if she changes her mind..............
