Fiona Hodgetts

Biography

Fascinated by art from an early age. I studied Art up to O'level and then art was on the back burner for a while. I have always loved watercolour but since the first lockdown I started to use acrylics and I love them! My work is inspired by the vast skylines and flat terrain of the Fenland geography that I grew up around. I am however continually inspired by dramatic skies and scenery wherever they may be whether outside my studio window in Warwickshire, Cornwall, Scotland or Europe. I love to work expressively and intuitively. I aim to move to start using oils in 2022 but for now acrylics seem to offer the best of both worlds.
