Biography

Since retiring in 2016 I have been enjoying 'leisure time' but have focussed my skills on producing artwork and related merchadise. I'm also involved with the organisation of the programme of events at a local art society, and work with other local artists to promote art in the community and extend the benefits of hands on art to a wider age range. I have had my studio refurbished and enjoy working both in the studio and outdoors. I work mainly in acrylic and watercolour and my paintings feature a wide range of subjects and genres and have recently been exploring different styles and media, including lino cut printing. My most popular works continue to reflect my impressions of France inspired by my travels, and I am producing a range of mugs "Impressions of France" featuring my original paintings, depicting scenery , patisseries and other French shops, soon to be followed by canvas bags and aprons, and the next range "Y Viva Espana" inspired by the land of the Flamenco.
