Art classes and Projects details: Community Education Experience: Belfast Metropolitan College Painting Classes Oil and Acrylic 2000-2012 Adult Education including teaching Watercolours to MS patients and Chest heart Stroke patients. Queens University Belfast p/time 2003-2012 Art Courses: Acrylic Painting innovations Rural College Creative Weekends Acrylic and Watercolour courses 1996-2011 Visiting Artist to local Belfast art societies 1996 - to date Teaching Children & Project Experience Sample projects; Art in Primary schools; Projects 1996 -2012- School Visits - throughout Northern Ireland. (Arts Council assisted and also independently). Cairnshill Primary School Belfast 3 days annually “Birds of Prey” Illustrations in watercolour 1996-2011 Wildllife Courtyard Mural 2000, 5 Sports Mural 2001 Cairnshill Primary School Indoor Wildllife Mural (3 weeks project) 2002. Cedar Primary School, Crossgar Co Down Art and Wildlife Illustration and graphics projects 2004-2011. Including a Turtle Conservation Mural in Association with a Marine Conservation Group which featured on an Ulster Television documentary Children produced a large scale turtle mural on recycled wallpaper. As well as individual paintings, which were exhibited. I teach the following mediums of Acrylic, Water colour . Drawing instruction is included in classes. I encourage students to improve drawing skills, and have a set of exercises which improve confidence. Drawing should be enjoyed! Innovations in Acrylic and Watercolour painting techniques, through demonstration and practical work. These basic art skills are practiced and students are encouraged to develop personal projects.
