Biography

I paint in watercolours and in oil depending on the subject. Everything unusual interests me, old buildings, bits of old rubbish, flowers and gardens, but the most important ingredient has to be light. Blazing sunshine cuts the mustard. For years I worked in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and recorded the old souq there, I loved the huge contrast and unexpected effects that the strong sun had on crumbling walls and shutters. I now live mostly in Spain and enjoy similar challenges. Sometimes however, Scotland calls me home, especially Glasgow. I just love Glasgow.
