Thornbury Art Club started in 1965 and has been running for 48 years. At present there are 127 members, of all levels of skill, local enthusiasts who enjoy drawing and painting for pleasure. Meetings take place in the Armstrong Hall complex. The Club offers members: Monthly meetings (usually the first Wednesday evening) with a talk or demonstration by a guest artist. Optional choice of weekly studio groups (Monday mornings, Wednesday evenings, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons) Two public exhibitions per year.
