We are a small group of young-at-heart retired people, all busy with life but wanting to find time to paint and develop our interest and passion for painting and art in general. We meet fortnightly at The Institute on a Monday morning 10-12.30, do our own thing, enjoy a challenge set by one of our members or, weather permitting, we take off on foot/by car for an extended plein air session. We don't push the boundaries too much..... we share ideas, encourage each others efforts and occasionally try something completely new. We pay £3 each session that we attend but there is no annual subscription at the moment. An annual visit to a local art venue for lunch, a lecture and sketching on location, is partially paid for if funds allow. Please ring first if you are interested in joining our group for the date of the next meeting as we run a very flexible programme to meet the needs of our small, democratic and friendly group. New members are made most welcome and we'd love to expand. Currently most members use watercolour but mixed media are encouraged and there are plans to move more into acrylics and small scale print-making.
