I haven't done my bee one yet so I am feeling very left out! Had two small grandchildren all weekend - so not much time to do more than entertain them I'm afraid. This bee reminds me of my mother (no - she wasn't striped, lol!) as she used to make all our clothes sitting at her old treadle Singer sewing machine. Great idea for a bee sketch - love it Christine!

Thanks for all your comments, I've loved all the interpretations of the bee. it wasn't started as the August challenge, it was just a comment by Michael a few days ago, but it certainly started a buzz and has taken on a life of its own and has become the challenge, hope to see more on the bee theme!
