However it was produced it's an eye catching piece - the colours just bounce out of the gallery.

A lovely piece Christine, the bees are terrific, very clever.

How nice to see you back Christine. .. and also you've told us the medium which doesn't always happen here and I have to guess :)

This is lovely Christine and, as you know the problem wasn't actual digital art. I was going to try it 6 months ago, but it looked far too complicated to me as I am not very good technically. A lot of the artists on the site are using digital art and I am amazed at how sophisticated it has become since it first started. As you say, paper and paint cannot be replaced for some people. There is something satisfying in getting paint splattered, although it is much easier to clear up after yourself if you paint digitally! I love those bees.

Thank you Michael, Margaret, Louise and Adele. It's quite a while since I did any digital art, or art of any kind actually! I've been doing other creative things and helping out with the grandchildren but hoping once they go back to school I'll have some time to myself again and will be able to return to my artwork!

Love it Christine, bees and poppies what more could you want?

Your bee's are so good Christine, you've captured the way their legs dangle perfectly. Lovely and bright too. Glad to see you posting again.

Thank you Carole, Gudrun and Fiona for your lovely comments. Although I haven't been posting recently I do pop in and out of the Gallery now and then.

Love this Christine, would make a super collage. I think digital art is so hard to judge, there are so many clever apps on the market these days it's difficult to tell when looking at a painting how much is skill and how much clever software. I did look at a demo using Brushes, though, and have to say it didn't look at all easy!

Fantastic as always Christine, you have mastered the Brushes so well!

I've just been reading the discussion about digital art on the Forum and thought I'd post one of the first paintings I did using the 'Brushes' app. It's not digitally enhanced , the drawing, composition and colour choices are executed in much the same way as a conventional painting and it takes just as much thought and skill. It's a useful tool but will never replace paper and paint!
