Like this Brian - can't help on the paper front though as I don't use watercolour

A very nice painting Brian. I thought all watercolour part came ready sized an red for use, show my ignorance. I’ve never dad a problem with the paint taking, put the question on the forum Brian your more likely to get a response.

Lovely work Brian, clean, sharp and a nice palette.

Lovely watercolour Brian, the sky is a wonderful background. I’ve never used Khadi paper Brian, and the only time I’ve ever had trouble with the sizing on other papers is when I’ve had it a long time. Which doesn’t happen now I make sure I don’t keep it too long before using it. I found that the sizing had almost disappeared on the old stuff.

A lovely painting, Brian. ( Sorry, have never used Khadi - hope you manage to get some information.)

Thank you Heather. Cheers Paul, it is sized well enough, perhaps too much, it's a little like water off a ducks back. Thank you Jim. Thanks Fiona, I have had the paper a while so I suppose it could be that. Its not an issue I've had with any other papers. Thank you Anne.

That's a beaut, Brian. Lots of difficult shapes expertly rendered, great sense of distance.

Beautifully painted Brian. Love the boats and colours. Don’t know anything about watercolour paper as watercolour is not my thing. You tube might help.

Thanks Lewis & Carole, I really appreciate your comments.

Excellent, I would be very pleased to have produced this painting

Excellent painting Brian, I've not used this paper but the surface looks very interesting. What weight is it?

Lovely painting

Hi Paul, having looked at your gallery I'm very flattered to receive your comments. Thanks George, the papers a heavyweight at 300 lbs. Thank you Romila.

Lovely painting - like the textured look on this rough paper, Brian

Watercolour on quarter imperial Khadi. It is a lovely textured paper but I had great difficulty with the sizing having to work the paint excessively to get it to take. Do I need to soak the paper first or am I doing something wrong. Suggestions would be welcome.
