Just finished - a little 7x5 inch acrylic on gessoed mountboard of an imagined scene in the Scottish Highlands. Crofters used to plant rowan trees beside their crofts to bring good luck and fend off exil spirits. It is quite common these days to come upon a ruined croft with a rowan tree still growing healthily beside it - so much for theory!
