Really like this, Walter. There's an honesty about it that is so appealing. Great pen and wash.

Super work, very evocative with some beautiful detail.

Just great as usual! My favourite palette plus loose ink drawing.

Your lovely style Walter - smashing.

You've not tried to prettify the scene, but have still made an attractive painting - a wonderful jumble of old houses, with the tv aerials at all angles. You have an enviably light hand with the brush.

A very attractive little painting.

Hi Thea, Lesley, Avril, Jeannette, Carole and Robert - very many thanks for your comments - I used to put a lot of penwork into my paintings to "rescue" them, but now I do the penwork first and then paint, so if it is a dud - a dud it stays!

very nice painting. jx

Many thanks Jean

Hi Walter, I've just seen your refreshing gallery on the side panel. Please forgive me if I've already said this, but it's is marvellous and made my day. What a sight for sore eyes! I particularly love your watercolours. Lovely washes and transparency. I recall from childhood that part of Scotland around Crail, all wild and clear aired. Captivating depictions of an enchanted land!

Hi Colleen - many thanks for your kind comments - you are right about the East Neuk- today the sea was like a pool of mercury reflecting all the colours of a clear winter's sky - magical. I have a website and blog at www.walterwatsonart.com although in truth most of the paintings are already on this site. Many thanks again

Love your freshness in this painting, great seeing paintings of fife

Hi Aaron - many thanks for your kind comments - painting in Fife is a pleasure!
