Painted in acrylics, this picture shows a pair of Macaws in the Amazon treetops. It was worked from various photographs of birds which I took at a couple of zoos in East Anglia (can't afford the trip to South America, sadly!) along with information from a specialist book on parrots for which I had done some illustrations a few years ago. The finished painting is 40cm x 60cm (approx 16" x 24")
