Beautiful painting Trevor. Great colours and shadows. Nice athmosphere

Great looking painting, terrific colours.

Fabulous gallery...love the colours in this!

Absolutely incredible Trevor - even more so now that I realise it is oil. I thought at first glance it was pastel. I love the vertical strokes and the vibrant contrast between the orange and dark blues. It's a fantastically unique take on York Minster. The figure grounds the scale. I just love it! Jx

Trevor i'm not usually a fan of oil but I just love this! the colours you have used look fantastic. Well done!

What a great gallery. You use strong colours but they are never overpowering. I love this take on York Minster a place I have visited many many times. The buildings in shadow could have overpowered everything else but you have a fantastic balance of tones here. Love the slightly offset angle.

Very eye-catching - superb colours.

Yorkminster is a place i have visited many times. In this painting i tried to reflect the colours of the stained glass window in the rainy sky,i began by painting the white canvas in primary red and then adding vertical strokes of emerald green ,rose madder and colbolt blue. The shadows are painted in prussian blue.
