Snow leopards passing each other. The female is snarling at the male as he tentatively walks passed and is surprised by her action. Scene taken from the animals at Banham Zoo, Norfolk. Sketched from life, and composition completed in studio. Also included in the picture is a Himalayan poppy (Meconopsis integrifolia) which was spotted at 16,000 feet in the Himalayas and I received permission of the photographer to portray it in this painting.
