Glorious rendering of this tree Simon, trees are excellent they bring something profound to our lives, and really good paintings of them are a joy to see, this one surrounded by beautifully painted grass and with the Village in the background is brilliant!

This landscape painting depicts the village green at Thornton Hough, Wirral. I particularly enjoyed painting the textures and colours in the foreground tree in this piece. It was painted in alkyds on 18 x 24 canvas.
