I've just finished this little apple painting as part of my 'fruit portraits' series. This is actually one of a pair of paintings and the other one should be finished early week. These are from my own garden and there's something really rewarding about painting something that you've watched grow...guess it's a way of preserving it! I just love autumn....love everything about it....the colours, the fruit, the long shadows. Everything about this season resonates with me! Red and Ripe, oil on board, 8 x 10"
