Wonderful fresh watercolour, Robin.

lovely light from the sky and super treatment of the water.

This is a great painting Rob, I really like the colours in the stonework.

There's a lovely soft pink light in this harbour scene, Rob. And the water and sky particularly are superb. The significant detail of the lifebelt and ropes in the near left of the scene add an interesting feature.

Thank you everyone! This is a lovely old harbour, and I've had this scene planned for a couple of years now - I'm glad I got round to it!

Lovely Watercolour Rob

Thais is a good depiction of the subject. Is the harbour wall on the left as clearly delineated as you have shown it?

Thank you again everyone! Derek, it certainly is and in fact is what really inspired the painting. The stonework might be old, but it's beautifully done, almost like Inca/Mayan stonework, with joins that stand out as very black against the lighter stone colour. The colours are authentic too - it's very beautiful!

Thanks Rob, good to know.
