There's no wonder I pay attention to anything you have to say about this medium Robert. You get everything just right, and I think this is a beautiful watercolour.

Beautifully painted, lovely composition, love your trees - in fact love all of it!

What a clever chap you are. The boats are almost secondary. How lovely to have this on your doorstep. Yes I had seen it on your blog spot.

I agree with the above comments, Robert. This is so "you". As I mentioned on your blogspot, I love the way you painted the trees and grasses off centre and added a lot of depth with the boats in the distance. Beautiful!

A beautiful watercolour Robert! A lot of mouvement in the air and in the sea and then the calm tranquility of the foreground. I love the sunny spot.

Lovely light and colour in the sea :)

I wish I was there. Lovely. I know I use that word a lot, but to me it says it all.

Lots of life and light in this.

Robert I really liked this landscape....I didnt make any landscape by water colour for years. I am inspired to make one seeing yours..

Robert I've just tried to post this on your blog but it seems I need to select a pofile? I'm a bit of a computer virus so didn't attempt to mess things up. Hallo Robert, just a word of thanks for putting me on to R. O. Dunlop. It's amazing what he could do with painting knives. The site I found had 101 paintings of his, which is now on my ever increasing list of favourites! There were two that stood out for me which were 'untidy farmyard', this painting reminds me of POL wonderful artist Rupert Cordeux, and the other is 'winter sunshine Wales'. Thanks again Robert. Hope you don't mind me leaving my message here on your site. Fiona Phipps

A super vibrant piece, Robert.

Hi Robert, thanks for checking out may latest dog pastel portrait of 'Jinty' the pleading to be let in dog, he really does have that pleading look off to a t and has realised over the years it is the way forward to get what he wants!

Ps forgot to say Robert I like this watercolour of end of the round the island yacht race, love the trees and grasses you have got almost a pastel look to this, a great fresh wind in your hair feeling to it as well which is probably why you were hiding away around that corner I would think, to keep out of the breeze/gale, that's what the Isle of Wight gets quite a bit of isn't it breezy windy weather and why it is so popular for yachts!

a lovely balance of movement and quiet stillness.

This is a fabulous picture, and I particularly like your cliffs and coasts pictures. Thank you for commenting on my Shoreham picture. I think I will try acrylics again as well as watercolours.

Posted this on my blog (www.wightpaint.blogspot.com) to which I have tempted some but not all - so here it is on POL. This is quarter Imperial size, on 140lb Bockingford Rough, and is of the remnant of the Round the Island Race, in which yachts sail round the Isle of Wight; observed here from a stretch of coast at Niton Undercliff, near St Catherine's Point.
