This made me smile Robert! Charlie is obviously a chap with good taste for comfort. Nice work!

Sweet Charlie ...soooo comfy. Nice doggy face .

Once again your understanding of colour stands out Robert, I just throw paint on at a whim or perhaps I'll call it instinctively, you think about it carefully and I can't do that, also the small detail like the chipped step is painted so well and not forgetting that little cute Charlie. Thank you for your comment on my last piece, always appreciated from you and for putting Gudrun right on the 'sentinel' issue, I hadn't noticed her comment in detail. This is one of the best responses that I have had for a while and I'm not too sure why but I'll sure as hell take it!. I knew that you would see the 'centred' position as the right one, I didn't put it there initially but after looking at it for a day I knew it had to be moved. Perhaps a forum subject could come out of this 'Is it necessary to follow the Third's Rule?... a possible topic perhaps for someone with your eloquence and understanding of things and I'm pretty sure Seamus would have something to say on this subject.

I like the viewpoint (if that's the word?) or perspective. The colours in the stone are lovely like a late afternoon sun. Charlie looks comfy and that's all he cares about! The yellow/greens contrast so well too.

Breaking up concrete preparatory to laying down slabs: Charlie the dog found a comfortable day-bed in a spot where a few dandelions grew. She has eccentric ideas about the word 'comfort'. Acrylic on board, 16" by 12".
