Great texture and splatters, Robert. Lovely depth with your darks. I've read your comments but I like your figurative work as well - not better or worse, just different. I've not noticed your paintings on this site before but good that there are a few professional artists on here now - helps me and other hobbyists/amateurs to consider new ideas. (I'm still working with a bit of pastel/textured support etc occasionally after Cober Hill sessions!)

3 months it took to paint this and plenty of whiskey! Twice it was thrown in the garden. If it had been a canvas it would have torn - there was that much vigour and cutting and sanding and screwdriver work on it! Eventually things come together, slowly the painting emerged as I did once again into better light! Who said it was easy being an artist! This painting for me is a break through piece. The shackles of my old figurative work and approach are slowly melting away! 37 x 37 inches boxed mdf acrylic mixed media.
