Looks great Richard. I tend not to do very small things but would imagine it is more difficult.

I like this a lot Richard - great strong colours and good composition. Re size depends what I'm doing - I use very small (A6) sketch pads for outdoor sketching - pen alone, or pen and watercolour. In art classes tend to use A1 for charcoal and A3 (ish) for acrylic.

Lovely as always Richard

Thanks everyone for your comments and advice Margaret.

Yes I find it harder to do anything smaller than A4-ish Richard. I like the simplicity of this it feels quite modern in style.

Really like this Richard, yes doing small paintings takes a lot more concentration for me, especially since my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be 😀

Thanks Fiona & Linda - Christian Eurgal does combine rustic with a modern approach very well and, indeed eyes are not what they were some time ago. !!!!

May be a very late comment… but was scrolling through your paintings today and saw this one: this is beautiful, Richard!

5 1/2" x 6 1/4" Acrylic on Red Card in the style of Christian Eurgal. The original I painted looks better than the attached Scanned & Cropped version I have had to do for POL. Do other people find doing small paintings harder than say A4 / A3 artwork ?
