A Hare Named Keswick

Hare Named Keswick

Good sketch Richard, love the bold eye.

That’s lovely Richard. I like how you have captured the tangled fur and his all seeing and all knowing eye. I’ve just been watching a hare in the orchard eating the apples, from the kitchen window.

Fine drawing and a great story to go with it.

Thanks Linda and Fiona for your positive comments. Think we are to Urban to see Hares in orchards Fiona !!

Well, I say orchard Richard, it’s a bunch of fruit trees that do their best on the west coast of Scotland! But I do get hares in the garden most days....generally to eat my plants and sleep in the sun all day....when we have sun that is! Lol

Rather good drawing Richard, illustration style which works well here.

Great sketch - the eye adds real drama

Thank you, Lewis,Heather,Alan and Carole. Your positive comments are always appreciated, and yes, Alan, I do tend towards "illustration" type work.

In Keswick last week and following a Newlands walk on a very windy but great day I sketched this image of a Hare from a super Linocut by Lynne Roebuck. It passed away an hour or so before partaking of the local brew. Pen & Ink on A4 Sketchpad.
