Thanks to everyone who has commented on these three pictures. I seem to have hit a cord, judging by the number of comments I've had. All three paintings will be on display at the Flintshire Visual Arts & Crafts Network exhibition, at the textile Mill, Holywell from Thursday 15th March.

Size 500x500mm. Heavy body acrylic on a box canvas. I bought a set of System 3 heavy body acrylics and have been waiting for an opportunity to use them, so I decided to paint a picture of my hens! The paints seen quite good and I experimented by using other implements, besides brushes, to apply the paint (mostly cut pieces of corrugated card). I think I could have appied the paint thicker, but nevertheless I'm happy with the result. I then went on to paint the 'Panda' and the 'Piggies'.
