The West Gate,New Delhi
Visitors to the tomb of Emperor Humayun (1508-1556) pass through an imposing 16 metre high doorway,called the West Gate. In effect it acts as a giant screen and it is only when one passes through the central passage that the tomb can be seen in its full glory. The tomb is a UNESCO heritage site.
