Greenscape Farm

Good study of greens, so many mixes to experiment with, keep at it.

I like the composition, but at the moment the solid line across the painting stops the eye from moving easily through into the distant hills. Perhaps if the gate was open and something else like a bush made a gap open up here, the whole painting would work much better. The colours are really good.

Than you Derek and Julia for your comments they are very much appreciated. I'm pleased with my exploration of greens as blue and yellow were never mixed, I used viridian and Windsor green with yellow and a variety of reds. It was a useful experiment from a book. As for composition, I'm told

..apologies my key board froze, yes I am told often that I bring geometrical shapes and lines into my work, I cant seem to avoid this even if its not doing the work much favour!. I am on a journey this year to desperately try to find a style and medium to settle with. Many artists on here already have a very distinct style which I admire.
