I like all 4 paintings that you've posted, Geoff. This one especially for the shot of yellow light on the rapefield, and the excellent figures and boats in the others. Lovely "soft" feeling to the landscape and super greens

I'm always inspired when I see that patch of bright yellow in a field, you have handled this so well Geoff.

Brilliant. I love the colour and depth and the scene.

Great oil painting - could you tell us the dimensions?

LOVE THIS ONE GEOFF, YOUR BEST WORK YET, THE ATMOSPHERE HERE IS ON THE VERGE OF IMPRESSIONISM, I COULD WALK INTO THIS PICTURE

Drawn back to this painting, on which I've already commented - thanks for adding the dimensions, it always helps. I don't think I've ever managed to paint what I think a satisfactory field of oil-seed rape - I've never yet got the yellow right, to the extent I find myself avoiding it: not that this is a problem at this time of year. But I completely believe in yours: it sits naturally in the rich greens of the landscape (and perhaps that's why I've gone wrong, ie, in not fitting it in as it were). And the way you've got green on green, without losing definition, is really impressive: only those who have tried it know how difficult that is to bring off. Worth saying again - great oil painting.

Wonderful depth in this painting, the composition just leads one in to a pleasing view. I like that yellow patch and the well done hills and hedge rows.
