Another venture into the sphere of abstract painting. Inspiration came from the configuration of shadows from four light sources playing onto the carpet of a common central area in the hallway at home. The subject was converted to line work on board and then, rather than the combinations of brown and beige of the carpet, I painted the individual shapes with varying shades of colour to create the image. Harder than it looks but i'm pleased with the balance. Acrylic Painting.
