Lovely reflections in this one Jeanette and glorious autumn colours. Your mixed media always looks so good, whereas whenever I've tried mixing watercolour and pastel I end up with a mess. I usually use rough watercolour paper which I think is a bit too rough for the pastel. I'll have to give it another go with a fine grain paper. Which do you use?

Can't add anything to what Val has already said - except to say I wish I could do this .

This is SO lovely Jeannette. I was looking at Val's pastels and saw that you had done a new one so had to have a look (not sure if that makes sense, you know what I mean?) The colours are fantastic. I must try a landscape in pastel. The colours are just so vibrant in this picture.

I also missed this one, I don't know what happened, ever since the layout of the site has been changed I have been unable to login for the past two days and this painting is very far back, just came across it by chance. The vibrant colours are very striking and the shadows reflected in the water are just lovely. Really like your work. Lorraine

Yippee I'm in contact with the gallery again. As ever Jeannette...brilliant.

I have really enjoyed your gallery, so many beautiful paintings I could not pick a favourite if I tried! I am impressed with the method of pastel over water colour you make it look so easy and yet I know otherwise! Your colours are wonderful and the subjects, well ....I just want to book a holiday in Europe straight away,....I wish! What is the secret to keeping pastel looking so fresh and not getting it all over the place including myself, I always get in such a mess and remember then why I don't use pastels often! Annie
