This has come out darker than it actually is, photo'd late in the day, when the light was going.

It works well - like it, Marjorie

A very original viewpoint, Marjorie.

Ah, the light shift is annoying, isn't it? Still, this has worked beautifully and the water has so many variations to enjoy, AND to give it an authentic feel. The water reflections, colours, shadows and surface disturbance work a treat. I suspect the sunlight in the background would be more evident in better photo conditions, but it's still excellent, even if it's not quite what you'd hoped for. Great work, Marjorie. Bri

Love this Marjorie, beautiful reflections on the water

You have painted this lovely Marjorie

A striking painting Marjorie, and making the water the main subject works well.

Is that going into Warkworth from Alnmouth?

Interesting perspective with the bridge leading you in to the scene. Super composition with rather good reflections Marjorie.

Thankyou, Maureen and Mia - the castle is usually what most people paint but that wasn't my focus, it was the reflections in the water, so I'm glad that worked. Thanks, Brian , David, Anne and Tessa - we have a "water" project at the club next Monday. Like many painters, I'm sure, I could look at reflections for hours, sometimes they're more fascinating than the "real" things. Yes, Roger, I'm standing on the old bridge, the new one to the left, looking south. And Alan, it's strange, I've lived here for almost thirty years and still there are new viewpoints to discover.

Love the deep watery blue...gorgeous palette, Marjorie

A beautiful scene Marjorie lovely sunlight.

Gorgeous painting Marjorie, I love the blue of the water and the reflections are gorgeous.

Thanks, Thalia, Carole and Margaret. For some reason, the i pad is showing it more blurred than it actually is.
