Nice drawing but it needs more dark tones and variation of the stones themselves. They are all a bit samey, keep at it.

Thanks Derek, it was never really meant to be anything more than a line drawing really and as for the stones all being the same, after just over 50 years on the mountains and hills, one thing I do know is that each areas walls built from the local rock or slate are unique to that area and tend to look a bit samey because of the particular material used except for the end and through stones which are the same for that section but different to the main body of the wall.

Lovely to see something from you again on the gallery Malcolm. You've captured some great shapes in your stones and I like the addition of some colour in the foreground.
Hope you will get chance to post some more.
Thanks Malcolm and having spent formative years living in and near the North Yorkshire Dales I know what you're on about. My point was that the marks seemed too regular and therefore samey . Just a constructively meant comment.

Good sketch Malcolm, hope you keep posting!

This is just a section of a wall in the Peak District showing a Creep hole that allows sheep through from one field to the next and are blocked by a stone being rolled across them when not in use.
