Love the way you have captured the stream Malcolm. Lovely pen and ink drawing.

Thank you very much for that Carole it's appreciated.

Lovely sketch

Thanks a lot Ruthy and Gudrun, appreciate it.

Great stuff Malcolm would make a stunning painting

Love the geometric shapes of the wall, it has an almost abstract look to that part of the sketch, then the traditional elements in the foreground...it's a super sketch Malcolm.

Thanks Fiona and Dennis, the shapes on the 'wall' Fiona was actually the natural fractures of the rock face of the gorge which were all very angular fractures, there were also lots of little overhanging sections. Dennis you are right, this is one of the sketches I am considering working up into a painting, I also took reference photos as well.

Fourth sketch on the burn and gorge walk, this was when the burn walls really pulled in and you walked in a mini gorge with some reall nice rock faces, the path is actually the bed of an old narrow gauge railway they use to bring the rock and coal out on using a tiny engine the locals called 'Tanky' this stopped being used when the road systems became better, the sketch is of one of a series of little falls, it is an interesting area for wild life, history and some fossils in shale beds.
